Why You Shouldn't Use Online Receipt/ Invoice Generator

I needed to find a cost-effective way to issue digital receipts to my students, so I started looking for an e-receipt generator online. I wanted to avoid the expenses of printing receipt booklets.

However, the options I found were disappointing. Most of the free options had poor receipt templates and involved lengthy processes like sign-ups and email verifications. The few that offered free plans were not worth using and didn't represent my brand well. After spending hours searching for an online receipt generator, I came to a realization. I remembered the saying, "What is in Sokoto is inside your Shokoto," which means that what you are looking for afar is actually with you without you realizing it.

I concluded that there was no need to search for an e-receipt generator when I could simply design a template using a Word editor like Libre Office and convert it to PDF. This approach worked well for me, and I have been using it ever since. In my opinion, the best way to generate e-receipts is to utilize a Word editing application such as Ms Word or Libre Office. It's a practical and effective solution.

So Here are The Reasons You Shouldn't Use An Online Receipt/Invoice Generator

1. Poor Branding:

This is because majority of the template does not reflect the quality of the brand of your company or business. They might offer their service to you free of charge, but think about your branding. A poor brand puts your company or business at low esteem or value. So avoid that at all cost.

2. A Total Waste Of Time:

I knew the time it took me to browse through, humping from one website to the next, and still could not find what I wanted. This was an hopeless situation- no seeing what you want.

3. A Total Waste Of Resource:

You waste your data too.

4. So Many E-receipt Generator Online Are Premium:

A lot of them offering that service online do it at premium. You would have to subscribe monthly or annually to their plans in other to get this service.

5. Limited Customization On E-receipt Template:

So many things like lines and so on can't be customized on these e-receipt sites. And that can hinder your ideas on receipt.
